I am a Registered Dietitian with over twelve years of experience, having worked extensively in the NHS, specialising in Gastroenterology (e.g., IBS, Coeliac, Crohn’s disease), Endocrinology (PCOS, Metabolic Syndrome and Thyroid Disease), and Eating Disorders. In 2017, I established my Private Clinic driven by my drive to offer guidance and support for women dealing with disordered eating and Women’s Health concerns, often addressing both simultaneously.
I'm drawn to exploring the subtle connections between nutrition, lifestyle, and female hormones- examining how our mind, gut, hormones, and immune system influence each other. While often viewed in health contexts as similar to men, women have unique needs extending beyond reproductive organs. We require different considerations to support hormonal balance, our menstrual cycle impacts on the movement of our gut and our energy and nutrient needs, to name a few.
To achieve a body / mind approach in my work, I complimented my clinical nutrition expertise with training in behaviour change psychology. I continually enhance my practice by attending regular teaching and therapeutic supervision sessions, ensuring that my approach adheres to best practice principles.
